Petaling Street
Petaling Street is a Chinatown in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. It retains many traditional Chinese atmosphere especially at night when the traders started hawking along the way.
You can find everything from precious stones, incense and T-shirts through to the game, but the real attraction is the view of the night market and the atmosphere of Chinatown. There are various types of delicious dishes to choose from. There are some restaurant that has been open for several generations. Locals come to Petaling Street for bargain items and accessories to enjoy delicious Chinese food. So, just be brave to go to Petaling Street with an empty stomach and spirit to try. Even if you try not to spend (something that is hard!), You will definitely feel the great experience here.
At the end of Petaling Street, you can continue to visit the Chan See Shu Yuen Temple, built in 1906. In this temple built an open pavilion site, together with intricate carvings and paintings. On the outside, the temple reflects the weight of ceramic sculptures that decorate the surface of glazed wall and the roof.
For visitors who want more adventure, at the end of Petaling Street, South India Temple Sri Maha Mariamman. The temple is located on Jalan Tun HS Lee, near the Chinese city. Built in 1873, this temple is said to be the most decorated Hindu temple in Malaysia. It is loaded with the Hindu god sculpture, decoration of gold, precious stones and hand-painted motifs coupled with luxurious marble finishes from Italy and Spain. The caravan silver in the temple used to carry the deity carved on the street in the city.
Outside the Sri Maha Mariamman Temple are stalls selling garlands and fragrant jasmine interlaced. You can also smell the scent of Chinese herbs and freshly baked coffee wind brought from across the street.
