Kinabalu Park is the gateway to Mount Kinabalu. It is located 1.585 meters above sea level and is the site of the start of the climb to the summit of Mount Kinabalu. It covers an area of 754 square kilometers and includes Mount Kinabalu, Mount Tambayukon and foothills.
These mountains have a fascinating history and geography takes thousands of years to form. Majestic Mount Kinabalu is actually a granite massif then emerge from the crust to the surface.

Taxi or Car
A car rental service is available through the top hotels in Kota Kinabalu. Taxi service will bring inns in Ranau park headquarters and can accommodate up to four passengers. You can negotiate with a taxi driver to take you back from Park HQ if you hire a taxi.
